We do not need the Ford government taking our land with trails and the beauty of nature. The Dundas Conservation Valley is quite capable of looking after this area. We do not need another amalgamation in this area. Read more

I live in Belleville Ontario. I strongly oppose amalgomation of conservation areas. Our local conservation area staff( (Quinte Conservation) know our watershed intimately and can respond to local needs promptly. They live here and are sensitive to local needs and priorities. Read more

I agree with the Hamilton Conservation Authority's concerns on proposed amalgamation of authorities to form a total of seven for the province. The HCA are doing a good job and I am wary of the province making changes that could negatively affect our area. Read more

This is a horrible idea that will have significant negative impacts for years to come. My local CRCA has spoken out against this and gone into details on the probably effects. I implore lawmakers to listen to local authorities and to reconsider for the good of the province and future generations.

Moving to only 7 authorities will reduce the capacity of their impact. Merging Lake Superior with Lake Heron is nonsensical. The environments and their challenges are completely different. When the claim is made to improve local knowledge yet the watersheds are 1500km that is a joke. Read more

Being from a small town the idea of having our conversation authorities be any farther from the local areas they already serve seems like a recipe for poor understanding of local needs, and much worse service. There are areas where regionalization makes sense, but not in hyperlocal issues like this.

I do not think the amalgamation of the conservation authorities is a good idea. These matters require local knowledge and expertise and are best kept regulated by the local authorities. Please do not amalgamate the conservation authorities. Read more

In regards to the Huron Superior region, im not sure if you have access to a map, but these areas are very far apart. In fact they are not even adjacent. It is very bizarre that you would even consider joining them. Read more

This will not help the government to reduce waste or spending. This will impede on communities abilities to help conservation within their own communities. This is the conservative government trying to take control of land and end wildlife protections. Read more
