I do NOT agree with the merger. HCA already does a fantastic job and I feel like this merger would be a waste of money and resources. It would take away the local control of our Conservation Authorities. Read more

I regularly work with our local SSM region conservation authority. Ther services they provide does serve to protect the land and resources if my community. Also they have have stewards of land at Hiawatha highlands which is a well loved recreational site for our community. Read more

I fear with the changes the smaller population conservation areas will be impacted negatively. Important details like watershed will be overlooked or neglected. Maintenance will suffer. Programs will falter also. It’s a bad idea to consolidate such large diverse areas. Read more

As a property owner in both the Lower Thames Authority & Essex County Authority, I am against amalgamation as I believe that there has been no red flags suggesting a need as well, the local authorities provide a significant amount of institutional knowledge, which no one "outside" person can have. Read more

Conservation agencies across Northern Ontario are too far away from each other to make this consolidation make sense. The needs in Sault ste marie, will be very different than Timmins or Sudbury. Read more
