I live in the local area of UTRCA, upper Thames. Our local authority is doing a good job in governing this mixed agricultural and forested area. It is a unique place, unlike the Lake Huron shores, or Lakes Erie and Ontario. We have a fragile watershed that is being carefully monitored. Read more

I have been a conservation area user and supporter for over 30 years. I do not support this merger of conservation authorities. It will only add a bureaucratic layer with higher costs and there won't be any benefits to the operations of the conservation authorities or the services they provide. Read more

Having had some involvement with our local CA, I find it perplexing that our Provincial Go. wants to re-organize a system that is and has performed well . Each Authority has been finely tuned to meet specific needs in their area of control. Read more

I do NOT agree with the merger. HCA already does a fantastic job and I feel like this merger would be a waste of money and resources. It would take away the local control of our Conservation Authorities. Read more

Less is not more. Each conservation authority knows its uniqueness and how best to service its localities. Making them bigger means less effectiveness. Ontario is huge and should not be shrunk by lying that less experts on a matter is better. Read more

I do not believe that the Province should be splitting up the conservation boards as there is already too much top heavy bureaucracy with the Province continuing to take on more power and authority over what should be little involvement. Read more
