These proposed changes weaken the Endangered Species Act to the point that many species will no longer be protected. Depending on Federal law to protect them is a non starter, as the federal law is only there to compel a province with inadequate protection to strengthen that protection. Read more

Please rethink this. We should be protecting all endangered species, not ensuring their destruction. This is not what the Ontario Government should be doing. We need to protect what we have for future generations. Not only consider how to make more money by stomping something out. Read more

Please do not push this proposal through. It is important to all Canadians to protect and preserve our wildlife, including endangered species of birds. I don’t understand why Ontario would even consider stopping the protection of any species in our province. Read more

Please do not make changes that put our wildlife and animals in jeopardy. There is not enough being done to protect these animals and their habitat. We must make animal welfare and protection a priority.

I am so tired of protesting Doug Ford on environmental issues. Just *stop* doing multiple projects that endangers the Ontario ecosystems. Follow the rules in place which are there for a reason and respect the land.

Nothing good can come from eliminating our greatest asset - our natural habitats. I implore this government to think outside the box in creating infrastructure and housing. Read more

One of the true great things about this province is it's nature and wildlife. I understand the need for urban sprawl to keep up with an expanding population but this isn't the solution. Read more

No No No!!! Do not do this! Environmental and species conservation is crucial. On reading of this proposal, my immediate thought was, "Ford wants to dilute protection so he and his developer buddies can do what financially pleases them." Read more
