Ontario, and the world at large deserves much better than to have its biodiversity decimated in the name of industry. Bill 5 will see essential wildlife protections removed in favour of allowing companies to gain short-term and short-sighted financial gain. Read more

The only ones that should be identifying species at risk, should be the expert scientists, and certainly not politicians. Identifying habitat to an animal's dwelling and immediate area is far too restrictive. Read more

Whoever thought this up is a complete idiot. Why not cut all the trees down so that you can pave over everything—no trees, no air. Pave over the land so that we can't produce food—who needs to eat? Pave everything so that we have no water drainage and flooding. Read more

Please do not allow the Ontario government to repeal the endangered species act. This would be environmentally devastating legislation & we have to continue to live on this planet together.

Letting work commence before an approval will cause irreperable harm to the environment. I know the Ford government wants to build sprawl upon sprawl, but once you harm a habitat you can't take it back, thats thy the existing legislation exists in the first place. Read more

Changing provincial measures of the ESA, 2007 to SCA, 2025 will be beyond detrimental for endangered species as it does not included areas and space that are necessary for their life. Read more

This is a terrible idea. The Ford government should not remove or downgrade protections from endangered species and their habitats to build things like Highway 413. Instead, more money should be put towards green initiatives like public transit that benefit the entire GTA population. Read more
