Species at risk and endangered need as much protection as they have now, if not more. I urge you to not make any changes that will decrease their protections. There are many, many locations available to build housing on without taking over more green space. Thank you, Allyson Read more

I really do not think we should squander natural resources and destroy the natural species that inhabit our world with us. I am against removing protections for endangered species just so we can have more highways. The paperwork takes a long time for a reason. Read more

I would suggest that Ontario makes absolutely no change to the ESA or Endangered Species Act. If any changes are to be made to Wildlife protection regulations, they should become stronger not weaker. Our Wildlife is essential to the well-being of Ontario and all of North America. Read more

I do not support this change. I think slow and cautious is necessary for any development project, especially works that effect habitat. Study and good science serves our whole communities, while poorly considered exploitation of the land does not.

Scaling back species at risk protections is a backwards move! Species already in decline will be particularly impacted by this plan, which will lead to extirpation and extinction. As always, a shortsighted conservative government with no regard for the natural world. Read more

I live with my family in rural North Burlington. I care deeply about the natural environment and the wildlife that lives here. I care about the future of at-risk species and want to see the forests, wetlands, and grasslands they depend on protected for my grandchildren and their grandchildren. Read more

You may not care about this planet Mr. Ford, but we do!! If you want to allow business to build, have them do it on already abandoned properties, not by allowing them to destroy natural habitats and endangered species!!

This is not acceptable. Government can change the recommendations of the scientific committee. Should not be permitted. Growth without rules will only get us into future trouble. How about we just speed up the processes in place and work smarter

The protection of endangered species in Ontario is crucial - the numbers of species who have lost habitat and therefore succumbed to lack or resources is staggering. Read more
