I strongly oppose Bill 5. This legislation threatens the environmental protection of Ontario's invaluable wetlands and green spaces. This threat comes at a time when we desperately need stronger, not weaker, protections and safeguards. Read more

We are in a biodiversity crisis. Ontarians have been working hard for decades to keep Ontario beautiful and wild. Removing protections for species at risk is a short-sighted mistake. Read more

You need to listen to biologists. You are actively participating in hurting Ontarian ecosystems and wildlife if you go through with the changes in the endangered species act. You will be responsible for the death and destruction of this life and will be held accountable. Read more

This bill does not put a sufficient plan in place to protect the habitats that it is putting at risk. Removing protections for wildlife without a concrete step by step plan and budget is reckless and will devastate Ontario and the world. Read more

I oppose Bill C5. We cannot further endanger our species to create shortcuts for the government. They need to find a way to build and keep our environment safe without endangering more life.

I am strongly opposed to Bill 5 and the proposed changes to the endangered species act. The proposed species conservation act does anything BUT conserve species. This is a poor attempt at providing any protections to species whether or not they are threatened or thriving. Read more

I have severe concerns about the scope of this bill and its consequences for Ontarian environments, First Nations Rights, and the rule of law entirely. There is no economic benefit more important than the safety of our biodiversity, our workers, and our First Nations. Read more

This bill violates the rights of already vulnerable Indigenous people of the north, nevermind the clear exploitative nature of the bill when it comes to ramping up development in this province at an irresponsible rate. Read more
