I would like to see the Ontario cycle plan include at least some sections of the old CP rail line that Lanark county has purchased. It would make an awesome cycle trail linking towns such as Carleton Place, Almonte, Pakenham, Arnprior.

I spend about 600 hours a year riding around the Ottawa area on my bike. I'm excited to hear that some improvements will be coming from the province, and I hope even more will be done in the years ahead.

I read the draft plan briefly and support the initiatives contained in it. I live in a rural setting with many small community in south western Ontario near the north shore of lake Erie's and of course the cycle friendly promoted waterfront trail.

Almonte, Mississippi Mills has become one of the top destination places in Ontario. I walk 1 hr everyday here to Equator Coffee Roasters. It's not just the water falls, the trees, the shops it's the interested and interested people here. The conversations.

The key to making cycling a viable strategy is to make sure all the routes are connected and having the proper infrastructure put in place to allow cyclists to safely use the them. If you build it they will come.

On road cycling routes, without a physical barrier protecting cyclists, are dangerous. Painted lines on roads are often ignored and are normally meaningless. Painted lines do not change dangerous driver behavior. They only show that the province does not value the safety of cyclists.

I fully support the inclusion of more separated bike lanes on the streets of Ottawa that will help riders safely commute through the city. Please make them *separated* lanes from traffic to ensure safety.

On behalf of Belleville on Bikes, I am writing to express our support for the Provincial Cycling Network, but also our dismay that the network selected omits the Bay of Quinte and the largest population centre from Oshawa to Kingston along Lake Ontario's shoreline, Belleville.

First we love the idea of a Province-wide Cycling network. Similar to the network in Quebec which many cyclists from Ontario go to visit. However the existing Region of Durham cycling network as shown has many errors and omissions.
