Natural gas still emits quite a lot of CO2. If the goals are to drastically reduce our greenhouse gas emissions in Ontario, it would be wise for the incentives go directly towards zero emission vehicles such as electric power and/or hydrogen power vehicles.

The technology hasn't even been invented yet Caterpillar is still in courts over all that emission experimental technology

In light of the devastating hurricanes, floods, and forest fires destroying parts of the world, it is imperative that we get gas/diesel vehicles off the road everywhere. A low-carbon future is not negotiable.

- Will the program be retroactive once implemented eg: Jan.1 2017
- eligible trucks should be model year 2010 and newer, not 2014

This is a complete waste of taxpayer money. You should not do this. Isn't our debt and deficit high enough already?

These technologies need to stand for themselves. They either make sense economically or they don't. The government should not be subsidizing this.

Would the Ministry clarify what types of subsidies will be available for installing CNG infrastructure and would there be additional subsidies for fueling other company's vehicles at the facility?

Please comment on the selection of alternative fuel vehicles, and fuel saving devices that have been identified as eligible for funding.

I have reviewed the Draft CGVP 2.6 document and my comments would be that the rebate for anti-idling devices installed by a certified technician should be 50% of cost of device and installation.

The Town of Oakville supports the development of a Green Vehicle Commercial Program that would provide financial incentives and rebates for the purchase of commercial fleet green technology.
