Maintenance of the trails ensure they are well kept and useable to every body who attends their sites. The trails a vital part of the communities they’re in, and we need to keep them clean, maintained, and accessible to all to support them and the communities.

Given rapidly changing water regimes and the biodiversity crisis, I strongly object that funding be reduced to Ontario’s conservation authorities. Their mandate should stay the same and their funded expanded.

Provincial Funding is critical for conservation authorities as the users are often from outside the municipality and therefore tax base. COVID has shown that access to well maintained nature is an important component of public health.
I deal with CA's on a regular basis as a part of my job as a professional engineer and I agree that some authorities may on occasion overstep their bounds in some areas and that some regulatory changes and oversight changes could be beneficial.

you should be defunding mps salaries not the public venues you are elected to by the public to do whats best for our province,this should not even be a topic of discussion let alone legislation.stop taking from the poor to maintain the rich.
Please do not cut funding to conservation authorities. They do priceless work in nature and biodiversity conservation and work to educate the public on issues such as water quality and private land management (e.g. erosion).

These recommendations could have a terribly negative impact on local conservation areas. During the COVID19 pandemic, local residents found reprieve from the lockdown in our local conservation areas. In some places, it is the only affordable recreational option.
