I am an avid camper, canoer, hiker, and fisherman. I am also a rock climber. I deeply love our provincial parks, and have visted dozens of them, from Quetico to Bon Echo, Long Point to Lake Superior. Lire davantage

I have climbed tons in Devil's Glen, and it is a really special crag in Ontario! Access has been tumultuous over the past few years, and formal recognition by Ontario parks would be a huge milestone for the climbing community. Lire davantage

As a resident of the town of blue mountains and avid rock climber, I regularly visit devil's glen. Climbers are generally among the most environmentally conscious users of public spaces, and climbing areas are rare and precious resource to those that that use them. Lire davantage

I am writing in support of rock climbing remaining an approved activity in Devil’s Glen Provincial Park. Climbing is a meaningful way for people to connect with the natural environment, and it offers a unique opportunity to experience the park’s landscape in a safe, mindful, and active way. Hello! I am a climber in northern Ontario, but I’ve loved across Canada and in other countries. Some of the best climbing is in provincial and national parks, yet for some reason Ontario is the only place I’ve been where climbing is not allowed. Lire davantage

I'm a homeowner on property adjacent to the park. I would simply like to express my strong and clear support for the amendment, especially with respect to rock climbing. Again: I am very strongly and clearly in favour of rock climbing in the park.

The recreational activities should include rock climbing, and plans should be created to work with the climbing community to identify and maintain climbing routes. Rock climbers are some of the biggest believers and practicers of “leave no trace”. Lire davantage

Yes!! Allow climbing at Devils Glen and other Provincial parks. Access means promoting a sense of community, prioritizing safety, and protection of nature where we can. Climbers are generally kind, caring people who just want to enjoy nature!

I would like to see clearer guidelines for everyone to enjoy the area as much as they can. So that everyone can be kept safe. I really enjoy climbing at devils glen and would like to continue, not just for myself. But for other generations as well. While keeping nature preserved. Lire davantage

I'm a supporter of our national, provincial and conservation areas. I truly believe that our parks are some of the best in the world or at least compared to the all of the parks I have been to in my travels. Lire davantage

Climbing is a deeply human form of recreation that can be practiced in a way that’s respectful and supportive of the environment and community. Devil’s Glen is a beautiful place and already feels like home for so many of us. We’d love to keep building its legacy.
