I am a resident of the Etobicoke region, born and raised, and I strongly oppose this bill. While development is a key priority it can go through our existing due process which works to preserve our city for generations to come.

I am not in favour of this at all. The government needs to respect the laws and bylaws of all jurisdictions. We’ve already witnessed their disregard for the legally protected green space. This would allow them to do an end run on any number of things. Lire davantage

I oppose Bill 5 and the harmful repercussions it will have to wildlife and endangered species. I want strong environmental protections. I oppose the short cuts for industry and lack of public oversight that Bill 5 will impose.

This proposal would give this government the power to bypass critical environmental regulations to allow destruction of our precious nature and wildlife. It's not about strengthening the economy, there are other ways to do this without selling out to corporations.
