People come to this area and all provincial parks to see something that is natural. We must protect natural beauty and not develop areas that are home to endangered species. Keep development out of our provincial parks. Keep the wild things wild. Lire davantage

Hi there, please reconsider this amendment. This desire to change the law suggests there's a desire to dispose of other areas in the future in the same way. It’s a dangerous precedent in line with the Ford governments push to bulldoze our natural spaces to make more money. Lire davantage

Being an Ontarian used to be a source of pride for me. It meant we had beautiful wild spaces, green in every corner of the city and a respect for nature. Now… it’s embarrassing. Admitting that my fellow Ontarians fell for the snake oil pedaler that is destroying all that I loved about Ontario. Lire davantage

This seems like a terrible idea, akin to the destruction of Ontario Place. Surely the Government of Ontario's mandate should be to preserve these wonderful places and ensure they can be enjoyed by all Ontarians. Handing over these treasures to developers is an irrevocable measure. Lire davantage

I am extremely concerned with the governments increased involvement in local affairs such as tourism. This should be left up to municipalities who are better equipped to understand the ways they wish to attract tourism into their jurisdiction. Lire davantage

Developing beachfront mansions for the wealthy does not serve the population of Ontario. Our provincial parks are beautiful spaces where we take our children and families to enjoy nature. Lire davantage

This is a horrendous disservice to our future. We need protected lands, we need to protect our environment and you’re trying to sell it off bit by bit like people won’t notice. I lay awake at night worrying about my child’s future which you’re selling at every chance you get. Lire davantage

Leave Wasaga Beach alone ! It's already one of the most popular tourist destinations and is the largest freshwater beach in the WORLD, not just Ontario or Canada. People are getting tired of Ford constantly bulldozing over the environmental regulations in this province. "Ontario is not for sale"? Lire davantage

Public parkland isn't for sale. Developers must not be allowed to pay to pave over protected ecosystems. Ontario needs stronger protections for the environment – not weaker ones Lire davantage

This comment is directed towards the Ontario Premier and his Conservative party colleagues. Please do not use Provincial parkland and beaches to expand commercial income. Currently Ontarions have to travel several hours to explore the wild parts of this great Province. Lire davantage

I don't agree with Doug Ford's proposal. Leave the park, the environment and the wildlife alone. Humans should not have more rights than wildlife

I am incredibly disheartened and disturbed at the proposed amendments to the legislation which would enable the sale of land that is crucial Georgian Bay shoreline habitat and home for the endangered piping plover. Lire davantage

We do not support the transfer of provincial ownership of any part of Wasaga Beach to any other level of government or private entity. Wasaga beach as it exists should remain publicly owned of public use of future generations of the province.

I do not support this proposal. By giving away this protected land you are opening up the area for development and destruction of local wildlife.

I have spent the past 15 years travelling to Wasaga beach during all 4 seasons and have family who reside there. Wasaga beach , the longest freshwater beach in the world is truly a gem that attracts more and more visitors each year. It is home to an endangered species- the Piping Plover. Lire davantage

I do not support the reduction of Wasaga Beach by removing the Proposed Areas for Removal from the Regulated Park Area. I have fond memories of going to the provincial park as a child, as do my parents, grandparents, and great grandparents. Lire davantage
