Please do not sell or give away part of wasaga beach. Or any part of any provincial park. These parks were created for all the people of Ontario and beyond. For all time. How does this make any sense Doug? It doesn’t. Lire davantage

The government is the trusted guardian and caretaker of the province's public lands, ALL paid for by taxpayers. Protected lands need to remain as they are, now and for future generations. Lire davantage

I do not suppot this proposal. Please note my opposition to removing environmental protection for lands in Wasaga Beach and Nancy Island. As the climate warms due to climate change we need to preserve, restore and expand protected natural areas more than ever. Lire davantage

This place we all live in together is fragile. Every species has a role. There has to be balance. If you allow mechanical raking and the alteration of dunes and put no fences to protect their nesting grounds, then we will lose the Piping Plover and our balance will be upset. Lire davantage

Dear Premier Ford, I am writing to you as a concerned resident of Ontario who cares deeply about our province’s natural heritage and cherished public spaces—particularly Wasaga Beach, one of Canada’s truly iconic waterfronts. Lire davantage

The fact that this is even being considered is heartbreaking. Doug Ford is after nothing but money and doesn’t care who or what he destroys in order to get it. Shame on him. The Wasaga Beach beachfront is home to many animals including the piping plover. Lire davantage

There is absolutely no reason to remove a portion of protected land from the Wasaga beach provincial park, except to benefit private developers. Lire davantage

I am deeply worried about setting a precedent to remove public land protection that was supposed to be in perpetuity. I strongly suggest the government reconsider this proposal. Lire davantage

Ontario’s Provincial Parks belong to the taxpayers. You do not have the right to take a chunk of Wasaga Beach to profit from the sale of land to some commercial developer. Lire davantage

Ontario is extremely well known, and visited by many, for it's beautiful Provincial Parks. It is a huge tourist attraction and brings a lot of money into communities. It is unfathomable why you would want to sell off any part of any park for development. Leave Our Parks Alone. Lire davantage

Leave Wasaga Beach and our other provincial parks alone! If anything, they need expansion. Ontario should NOT sell them off to developers. Has Doug Ford learned NOTHING from his disastrous attack on the Greenbelt? From public anger over raping Ontario Place and the Ontario Science Centre? Lire davantage

We cannot get protected land back. Please do not transfer Wasaga Parks Ontario land to the Town of Wasaga. Enough damage has already been done to our environment—short-term governments should not be making long-term, irreversible decisions. Lire davantage

Please keep the property with Parks Canada, this beachfront can continue to be enjoyed as a tourist destination but much much more sustainably with limitations on the number of people who can access at a time. The Town of Wasaga Beach can continue to make bad decisions with their own property!

I am concerned about the future of Piping Plovers at Wasaga Beach and want the Ontario government to ensure their conservation. We need to protect wildlife and our parks. Therefore, it would be important if we took the actions below to help them: Lire davantage
