I am concerned that if Wasaga beach were to be sold to the town of Wasaga, the piping plover population will not receive the same conservation efforts. Lire davantage

Our parkland is not for sale!!! Our provincial and national parks are not for sale!!! We , the people own that land and you and your developer friends have no right to profit from it.

I support the call by Birds Canada to protect the habitat of Piping Plovers at Wasaga Beach. As a member of the Hamilton Naturalists Club, I know that members have been involved over many years in the efforts to save the Piping Plover. Lire davantage

Provincial parks are themselves enormous tourism draws-- there is no need to destroy more beachfront to add buildings. People are not visiting for the Marriott Hotel. Lire davantage

Premier Ford You were not elected to dismantle Ontario. Wasaga Beach is permanent Conservation and public land. Hands off! Do not re -classify these lands, nor try to sell them!! You have no mandate to do that. If you want to try for that mandate, call an election. Lire davantage

There's a reason the Conservation Reserves Act and the Historical Parks Act exist. I don't support the proposed changes. Lire davantage

I absolutely, unequivocally do NOT support this proposed legislative amendment. We need to stop trying to destroy green spaces. Wildlife and biodiversity depend on our parks and other such green spaces. If we need to build, maybe look at repurposing vacant buildings and building up not out. Lire davantage

Success after 30 years of failure should lead to added protection. these birds are too valuable and, let us face it, too darn cute not to continue producing successfully.

This proposal will impact the piping plover, an endangered species that relies on the Wasaga Beach habitat. This is unacceptable. What do the biologists working in the Ontario Public Service have to say about this proposal? There must be transparency in how these proposals are being put forward. Lire davantage

Our family strongly opposes the transfer of lands from Wasaga Beach Provincial Park to the town of Wasaga. Once these protected lands are transferred, they are gone forever. Lire davantage

I say NO to carving up Wasaga Beach Provincial Park for a large development for tourism. Losing natural beach habitat would be devastating to this endangered shore bird. Keep the park for birds, not a large development for tourism.

Please revise this development plan to preserve both public access and environmental protection along the shoreline and move development away from the water. the proposed plan won't provide longterm benefits to the public. This plan benefits the few at the expense of the future.

There are less than two dozen Piping Plovers left in Ontario and Sauble Beach is one of two places where they are raising a new generation. Deliberate destruction of their habitat is a crime and those who do it should be held accountable. Lire davantage

One cannot continue to develop lands without consequences. These are protected lands and they should remain that way. Why protect lands in the first place if you're just going to sell them off for development? Lire davantage
