Protect the land that includes critical nesting habitat for the Piping Plover!!!! Just leave it alone! Not everything needs to be developed!

As a life long resident not far south of Wasaga I view this as just a very dumb idea. Leave the park as the park. I am rather suspicious who or which business groups might be behind this. Hoping Ontarians push back hard on this utter stupidity.

I strongly oppose the removal of land from Ontario’s provincial park system to transfer it to the Town of Wasaga Beach. Lire davantage

I am concerned about the endangered piping plover's habitat being affected by the proposed removal of Nancy Island from Wasaga Beach Provincial Park and removal of all of Beach Areas 1, 2, New Wasaga and Allenwood Beach. Lire davantage

We need to keep all provincial parks as protected parks. In a time of climate crisis wheb our most famous Canadian environmentalist David Suzuki has said , we need to start preparing for climate catastrophe, this is not the time to be selling off prime real estate to the highest bidder. I feel this chance is a very bad change for the people of Ontario. It is disheartening that the party who’s name comes from the root word Conserve, would not want to conserve this land for generations to come. Keep the area exactly as it should be- a protected provincial park.

Simply don’t take 60% of wasaga beach from being protected land to being developed. Part of the beach helps with flood mitigation, and it does so naturally. Wasting money on developing it when it’s of public access for free is asinine.

Its a horrible decision and will result in loss of natural and indigenous land. To destroy this beach is to destroy our children's future

We need to be increasing our park space, not decreasing it! At a time when people are so stressed out with the world situation, with our relations with the US, with jobs, families, mortgages, etc. Lire davantage

I am opposed, absolutely, to the proposal to develop more than half of Wasaga Beach.

The Provincial government needs to maintain stewardship of all provincial parks but especially Wasaga as the council seems intent on developing beach areas under the guise of promoting tourism. The beach and Wasaga is busy all summer long and needs no promotion. Lire davantage

The province should know better than this. Provincial parks are supposed to be set aside for all ontarians, not a select few. This proposal is not in the public interest and sets dangerous precedent. It should not proceed. Lire davantage

It would be a crime against future generations of Ontario to reduce provincial park territory and allow any development there. Now anybody can enjoy Wasaga beach park, even low income Ontarians. If development is allowed there then it would be a handful of well off people. Lire davantage

Please don't reduce the protected land at Wasaga Beach. We need to protect more of our precious biodiverse land, not less. No to commercialization of sensitive land. As proven by the constant sellouts and need to book 5 months in advance, we need more Provincial Parks! Reopen Foy PP! Lire davantage

How can you restore a heritage site that already exists and flourishes? Wasaga beach is already one of the most visited provincial parks here in Ontario and the removal of a large section for development comes off as the theft of public, communal land for private interests. Lire davantage
