I do not support removing protected land from this provincial park. Natural spaces are inherently valuable and precious. I value them above short term economic growth. Once lost, they can never be replaced. Park lands are meant to be preserved forever. Lire davantage

Please don’t do this. I know you’re looking for creative ways to provide more housing for our amazing citizens, but this isn’t the answer. Please protect our green spaces!!!

Please protect our wetlands. Wasaga is already a great tourist destination. We don't need to add more development. Protect the parks. The Torontonians don't need more beach spots.

I do not support this proposal. Humans have more than enough beachfront property already and this proposal opens up the area to environmental degradation if development were to occur along the beachfront, which it likely would. Lire davantage

This Provincial Park plays a huge impact on our already struggling Great Lakes drinking water systems. To have it sold to the town so that 'resorts' can be developed perched on a drinking water basin is reckless and endangering. Lire davantage

I think this proposal will be determinantal to the biodiversity of this area, especially for the plover birds. I object to this proposal.

I do NOT support this approach. The Ontario government should not be selling off this chunk of land, but instead should be looking to protect this land. Lire davantage

I am absolutely opposed to this proposal to destroy a key part of our eco system in favour of making developers rich! Surely development can be in place without ruining that beautiful beach! Keep the beach intact!! Jack Lire davantage

Please help save Wasaga Beach Provincial Parks and all of the endangered species (birds, dunes, plants, snakes, etc.) that call it home. Please do not amend the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, 2006. Lire davantage

I am opposed to this proposal. It is anticipated that the land will be developed by the city once it is no longer protected as a provincial park. This will put local wildlife at risk including an endangered species that lives in this area. Lire davantage

I am writing to express my strong opposition to the proposed removal of Nancy Island and major beach areas (Beach Areas 1, 2, New Wasaga, and Allenwood) from Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. Lire davantage

I oppose this proposal wholeheartedly. The government needs to protect more land instead of removing protection from Wasaga beach area. There is enough tourism in the area already. I do not support any privatization or sale of protected land. Lire davantage

Wasaga Beach has been a popular beach destination for my family for 60 years with its beautiful wide open spaces, dunes and natural habitat. It needs to remain protected under Provincial Parks and never allowed to be taken over by developers. Lire davantage

This is an unlawful change, and we reject it as Canadians. Our protected lands are part of our culture.

This plan threatens to destroy ecologically sensitive areas, including Beach Areas 1 and 2, New Wasaga Beach, and Allenwood Beach—home to endangered species like the piping plover, mature sand dunes, and provincially significant wetlands. Lire davantage
