I completely disagree with consolidation of the CAs. They have specific knowledge about the areas the steward and have build strong local relationships and programming to serve those communities and care for the environment.

I agree with HCA’s submission to the ERO. I am concerned about losing local decision-making and I support keeping conservation decisions rooted in the community for HCA and all conservation areas in Ontario.
We agree with GRCA's submission to the ERO .For over 20 years in colaboration with the GRCA we have worked together to support a ranger program to reinsate the Mill Creek to a cold water stream.

I am deeply concerned about the proposed consolidation of Ontario’s 36 conservation authorities into 7 much larger authorities. This will result in much less local oversight of the individual watersheds that these 36 conservation authorities have been working to protect for many years.

I am opposed to this change as it is likely to cause delay in trail mainentance and damage local volunteer relations.
Our community is opposed to this change, and our city council is opposed to this change (and has voted against this).

Key factors to support Ontario’s proposed outcome is not to spend time and money consolidating conservation authorities and spending money changing their name when they have spent 70+ years branding the name providing the needed services.

Please do not make any amendments to the conservation authority boundaries. The province will likely have more to pay for damages via wildfires than it will be worth.

I formally oppose the proposal to regionalize Conservation Authorities. This will most definitely remove the local level of service in the long term and citizens along with their communities will become handicapped when it comes to environmental efforts.
