Parks lands must be protected. If not for protection, what is the point of making the land a provincial park? Provincial parks allow for response, sustainable use of delicate ecosystems. This is of the upmost importance given then current climate catastrophe.

This proposal does not consider wildlife management and conservation strategies that exist in the park right now and would lose all of their progress with the proposed changes. Piping Plovers were nearly eradicated from Ontario and the habitat they require is rare.
