Please leave the whole of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park alone. This area already has a thriving tourism industry and to sell off the beaches to private corporations means less beach for all of us. Read more

Leave provincial parks as is. Commercial tourism is pointless without the land and nature that draws people in, and destroying ecosystems with developments will only negatively impact tourism in the long run. Preserve the parks and ecosystems

This is NOT America! This proposal is intended to further commercialize public lands to enrich wealthy developers and impoverish further the people of Ontario. In no world should the few accessible public lands be lost forever to development that diminishes the protections of those lands. Read more

This proposal is absolutely egregious and an abuse of government power. How dare you propose cutting away portions of a provincial park, after creating your similarly destructive legislation that would remove all environmental regulations in order to speed up development. Read more

“Provincial Parks belong to the people of Ontario and are meant to be protected forever. It is appalling that the current government is trying to give away big parts of our most popular park and make it easy to give more park land away in the future. Read more

I write as a retired person with a disability. I am lucky enough to have a decent pension and a secure home. But I am not someone who can afford fancy vacations in foreign places. Even economy vacations pinch the budget Access to a public beach like Wasaga Beach. Read more

I am opposed to this change. There will be irreversible environmental damage to the natural ecology of this area. We have been using Allenwood beach for decades. The beach is widely used by residents of the area who walk to the beach and also by people who drive and use the available parking. Read more

Our provincial parks are not for sale. I do not support this amendment at all. Proposing to transfer half of the entire beach front with no further information of how the natural and cultural heritage will be supported or maintained? So irresponsible. Read more

The proposal to remove portions of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park to boost tourism and economic growth raises significant concerns. While the goal of revitalizing the local economy is understandable, it is critical to question the method of achieving this by redesignating protected parkland. Read more

This proposal is horrendous I am writing to express my strong opposition to the proposed amendment to the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act that would permit development on a parcel of publicly-owned land currently designated for conservation. Read more

Doug Ford is on a mission to build his buddy’s bank accounts and line his own pockets. Provincial parks and crown land are essential for citizens and communities to have nature to explore, summers to enjoy and spaces where everyone is welcome. Read more
