I think it’s extremely irresponsible to do this, and I’m vehemently opposed. We should be protecting natural resources and important habitats. This land is provincial park, owned by Ontario’s people, and should not be for sale. This is beyond corrupt.

I’m writing to express my opposition to the proposed sale and development of public land at Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. Provincial parks are meant to protect nature, support biodiversity, and provide accessible green space for everyone, not to be sold off for private profit. Read more

Ontario is NOT in a position to be removing (or selling!) protections from designated conservation parks and areas species need for habitat. Especially when Parks Ontario is selling out camping grounds every summer. Read more

It’s so important to keep places like wasaga beach provincial park open to the public. It’s places like these that make living in Ontario so special! These spaces should remain available for everyone of all incomes able to enjoy.

We are not in a housing crisis. We are in an affordability crisis. It has been shown through non-partisan analysis that there is enough developable land plus many approved development projects on hold as developers wait to make it more economically feasible to move forward. Read more

Taking away protected land for development is not progress. It's moving backwards. Wasaga Beach is a beloved public park. Many families enjoy it, and it has many environmental benefits. Read more

This is so unintelligent! Nations like the caymans leave waterfront open to everyone, so that even the poorest people still have the right to a fundamental resource, that is water as a recreational activity. Read more

This is utterly abhorrent and reeks of conflict of interest for this premier's loyalty to his rich developer friends. He's fooling no one. This is PROTECTED land for a reason, and this Conservative government is showing us that it is no better than Danielle Smith in Alberta. Read more

This is a terrible idea and needs to be stopped. Provincial parks are important and need to be left intact, not only for the ecosystem but for the public to be able to enjoy. Please keep Ontario nature as it is.

Wasaga beach is one of the biggest fresh water beaches known. Access to it should not be monetized that largely. Read more

Have you all lost your minds?? Why are you so anxious to pave over Ontario? I’m disgusted with your reasoning. I have fond memories of trips to wasaga beach. To learn that you want to build on well over half that land is absolutely UNTHINKABLE. Read more

I’m very concerned about the precedent this will set for all of our provincial parks. We value our protected green space over the sale and commodification of our precious parks. We can allow tourist growth without sacrificing our values. Read more

I strongly oppose this proposal. Ontario Provincial Park lands are vital to the health of our community members and our environment. As a physician working in a town with nearby access to a Provincial Park, I see this firsthand. Read more
