It is absolutely imperative that the zones of land proposed to be transferred remain within the MECP's control to ensure proper conservation and environmental protection are maintained. This region is protected for many endangered species including the Piping Plover. Read more

I’m writing to express my opposition to the proposed sale and development of public land at Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. Provincial parks are meant to protect nature, support biodiversity, and provide accessible green space for everyone, not to be sold off for private profit. Read more

Opening up our protected lands and parks to privatization is a horrible idea. Removing them from protected park status is a step in that direction and should be avoided.

Dear Sir or Madam, The people of Ontario are still struggling and need to have access to parks and outdoor recreation areas that are inexpensive. We do not all have access to private cottages and deserve to have more places to sit by a lake and enjoy the summer, not less! Read more

Nothing good comes from taking away land that is a provincial park. It is suppose to be for everyone, not just the rich, as it always seems to end up. Save Wasaga Beach for all of us now and future generations to enjoy!! Read more

Hi, Really! How much do the residents of Ontario need to give up to Doug’s rich buddies? These are protected lands meant for generations of Canadians to enjoy. Not for Doug Ford to sell to the highest bidder. Say absolutely not to this proposal. This is not on the right side of history. Read more

I strongly oppose the proposed amendments to the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, 2006, and the Historical Parks Act that would remove significant portions of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park for tourism development. Read more

As Ontario's population grows, there is a need for MORE PARK land, not less. There is plenty of opportunity for tourism development in nearby areas that are already developed. Read more

PLEASE DO NOT ammend regulation to develope ANY amount of environmentally protected lands. Once natural lands are destroyed, they cannot be brought back. The environmental impact would be DETRIMENTAL.

The proposed sale of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park under Bill 5 is a shortsighted move that threatens a cherished natural treasure in favor of special interests. This land offers Ontarians a space for recreation and connection with nature. Read more

I do not support this initiative to change the classification of some parts of Wasaga beach to remove them from the provincial park boundaries. This entire area should remain as a provincial park and the focus should be on preserving the natural environment.

This is a terrible idea for both the community and the environment. Wasaga has more than enough tourism, cottagers, and trouble protecting the surrounding natural environment. Read more
