I do not agree with this proposal. We should not merge the 36 conservation authorities into just 7. It will only be worse for the environment, local municipalities, and all the people living in them. Do not pass this bill.

Each conservation authority that people come to interact with, recieve information from, or foster a close connection to will be severely impacted by the amalgamation of the authorities, as well as the local residents who have become familiar with their local authority. Read more

Reducing the conservation authorities to 7 from the 36 that exist today is detrimental to the environment. We all know your real agenda is to make it easier to destroy critical ecosystems to keep your friends rich, even though you claim it is to make things “more efficient”. Read more

I, strongly oppose the proposed boundaries for the regional consolidation of Ontario’s Conservation Authorities. The proposed changes will erode accountability and local services, impose significant costs on taxpayers, and cause delays for landowners, builder and developers. Read more

We need more focus and resources put into maintaining and working with our environment! Please do not group these boundaries with different types of habitats and needs. We need to do what we can now to benefit us and this land long term!
