I think it is a terrible idea to consolidate the Conservation Authorities into 7 large entities. Bigger does not always mean better. Quick action in any situation would not happen because of the hierarchy that would have to be followed to get results. Read more

It is deplorable to amalgamate the conservation authorities in this way. The reduced staff would lead to cuts in work being completed, more time spent travelling than doing work and would be the opposite of productive. Read more

Merging the CA's is a terrible idea for many reasons. Do not do this. we need more environmental monitoring, ecological data collection, and ecological rehabilitation work - not less!!!! We need experts that understand the local watersheds. Read more

I would embrace the changes of the conservation authorities if it will help make things easier to get a permit. Quinte Conservation was a nightmare when we were trying to build our house. They create erosion control zone which you need to build behind but can't tell you where it is. Such a joke. Read more
