We're facing overlapping crises in staggering biodiversity loss with extinction rates hundreds of times faster than natural rates, and a world breaching the essential 1.5 celsius warming cap under climate change, with Ontario currently set to miss our 2030 goals by megatons. Read more

Ontariens care about the environment and our future. We need to protect these vital ecosystems especially as climate crisis threatens their (and our) survival. Keep local authorities local. This would be extremely disappointing, hurtful, and potentially devastating. Read more

Removing conservation authorities can/will introduce several concerns and risks. Cutting the authorities down to only seven does not provide adequate representation or coverage for certain areas of Ontario, especially those in northern and rural Ontario. Read more

Conservation authorities need to be seperate and local in order to facilitate better scientific research on the needs of the people living in high risk areas. With a more centralized conservation authority this knowledge of the land is gone and will endanger people living in these high risk areas. Read more
