It is unconscionable that Ontario is considering selling off PUBLIC parkland to private developers AGAIN! These lands must be protected and kept available for use to all Ontario residents, and to protect natural habitat.

The proposed amendment seeks to amend the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act "to remove" land from Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. There is, however, already a process within the Act which allows the Ontario government to make any significant adjustments to park lands. Lire davantage

I strongly oppose both the proposed transfer of Nancy Island from the PPCRA to the HPA, and the sale of Crown land. Ontario’s natural spaces are precious, and once these protections are removed and the land is sold and developed, it can never be fully restored. Lire davantage

The proposal to turn this natura wonder into development to profit friends of Doug Ford is an affront to all Ontario residents. The park was estabshed to protect this natural area from over develpment now the province wishes to reverse half a century of protection. Lire davantage

I do not agree with this proposed legislation and would like to see the proposed lands remain within the Provincial Park framework, and do not agree with any crown land being sold. Lire davantage

While I can appreciate the perceived economic advantage of this proposal I recognize that it comes at the expense of conservation lands that are beginning to welcome back rare birds and offer homes to a variety of animals. Lire davantage

Developing park lands adjacent to beaches will destroy naturalized areas and destroy habitants and sand dunes which are sensitive environments.

Selling public land for tourism development might bring short-term profits, but it risks causing longterm harm. Once the land is sold, it’s gone forever along with the chance to preserve it for public use, environmental protection, and future generations. Lire davantage

Selling Beach Area 1 in Wasaga Beach could undermine the long-term interests of both the community and the environment. This section of the beach is not just a piece of real estate it’s a central hub for public recreation, local identity, and year-round economic activity. Lire davantage

As a property owner in Tiny Township I am concerned about the proposal to transfer half of the provincial beachfront to the town of Wasaga Beach. This would negatively impact critical Piping Plover habitat, and the transfer will end official monitoring surveys by the park. Lire davantage

Having been a visitor to these areas over the years, I disagree with these actions. They will limit the ability of Ontarians to enjoy the natural wonders of this area. It will only benefit the welthy who can afford to buy land. Fewer will have access to the beaches and waterfront. Lire davantage

The Town of Wasaga Beach has an huge supply of land for building all along the south 14 km boarder and to the east and west. Thus there is no need to exploit beach area 1 with staggers town homes that the rich can only afford, and does not respect the natural environment. Lire davantage
