I DO NOT support the privatization of public lands, especially such a culturally and ecologically unique place as Wasaga Beach!

How about you don't sell the rights to more of our land. I don't support this.

I vehemently oppose the proposal to convey and/or sell provincial park and crown land to the town of Wasaga Beach. Provincial parks should be increased in size and number, not decreased. Lire davantage

I do not agree with provincial plans to privatize Wasaga Beach. This is a critical habitat area which includes dunes and shoreline which are important for species protection and would be developed if sold to the highest bidder. Lire davantage

It is for this reason I add my comment regarding the proposed legisative amendments to the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act 2006 to request a slight modification not to support the Town of Wasaga Beach's Tourism Enhancement Proposal. Lire davantage

I appreciate that Ontario is experiencing a housing shortage, however, using prime beach property seems wasteful and environmentally harmful. What about all the shoreline birds? Where will they go if there are buildings in the way? Lire davantage

I strongly oppose the proposed removal and sale of large portions of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park, including Beach Areas 1, 2, New Wasaga, and Allenwood Beach, as well as the transfer of Nancy Island from the PPCRA to the HPA. Lire davantage

I do not agree with the proposal to sell or give provincially-owned land, which belongs to all Ontarians, not this government, to the town of Wasaga Beach. Lire davantage

Please withdraw your proposal to sell off sections of Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. Provincial Parks belong to the people of Ontario and are meant to be protected forever. Lire davantage

I am very strongly against this proposal. Regulation of lands under the PPCRA is done to give permanent protection to the land. Removing land from the park simply because the town wants it is egregious and sets a disgusting precedent. Lire davantage

Do not hand over/ sell Wasaga Beach Provincial Park to the Town of Wasaga Beach. Such a transfer sets a dangerous precedent for the protection of natural spaces and species in Ontario. We should be protecting more spaces, not less. Lire davantage

I am strongly opposed to this act and do not agree with the removal of provincial park land. Ontarians want to protect the places we love in this province and protect endangered species such as the piping plover bird.

This is absolutely ridiculous, if we continue to degrade the wildlife at Wasaga Beach there will be nothing left. Water quality will drop even more, and eventually it won't be a spot for tourists at all. This is a selfish and greedy proposal that will only benefit a select few.

This should not be approved as it destroys habitat necessary for birds, in particular the piping plover which is already at risk.

Hello, I am concerned about the proposed amendments to the PPCRA and HPA in Wasaga Beach. Wasaga Beach is an important habitat for the provincially Endangered Piping Plover species. I believe the current proposed amendments do not adequately ensure the population there is conserved and protected. Lire davantage

This is unacceptable. Ontarians overwhelmingly want to keep our public lands public. The government should not be making decisions that have such dramatic negative impacts on our provincial identity, our environmental footprint, and on Ontarians. Lire davantage
