I do not think that spending $25M on Nancy Island is a good use of funds as I do not believe a return on investment will occur in any reasonable length of time. Lire davantage

Our Town does not have the infrastructure for all this new development. We have lost huge forested areas here for no good reason! Lire davantage

While I support the idea of improving and maintaining the provincial parks by either the province or town, I would like to see more emphasis placed on the following by whoever ends up owning it: Lire davantage

I do not support this proposal due to the uncertainty that comes with reducing protected land within the provincial park. We need to safeguard our nature or it will be gone before we even know it.

This is a despicable land grab by the government to enrich the developers. That land is PUBLIC land, meaning it is owned by the public. It is ours. Not to be sold off! It is for public access to nature … that’s what parks are you know…. Lire davantage

Beach front with dunes and wildlife are sensitive eco-systems that are important to our continued existence. Aside from the structural supports that dune plants provide, and the wildlife it sustains it also acts as barriers to industrial pollution into the surrounding water. Lire davantage

With so many beaches in Tiny township being inaccessible to the public, Wasaga Beach should be kept open to the public WITHOUT shrinking its size! It’s a unique spot in Ontario (and Canada) and should be preserved for use for the people. Lire davantage

I think it's disgusting that you're even thinking of building in this sensitive environmental area. As a resident of Wasaga Beach, it's hard enough keeping what little green space we have, let alone loosing areas of the beach that are known areas for wildlife that are endangered. Lire davantage

Selling Provincial Park land? What a ridiculous proposal which will set a destructive precedent. There's a reason these lands were set aside for conservation and preservation. Lire davantage

This is an absolutely disgusting abuse of power and a shameful land grab. As an Ontario resident I am ashamed of how flagrantly our government keeps trying to sell off our most precious pieces of land. Lire davantage

This cannot happen. Enough of Wasaga has been made into a tourist area, the wildlife in the surrounding areas NEEDS this area. Tourists do not. The people of Ontario don’t need less provincial parks, we need more.

I am against this proposal as it is one of the last breeding locations of the piping rover population in Ontario. I also enjoy playing volleyball on the beach and this would greatly distrib the atrea for sports and recreation for the local and visiting population.

I am in full support of this proposal as long as it is airtight about beaches remaining accessible to ALL the public forever. In my mind that also means no adjacent development that makes it hard for all locals and tourists to reach the beach. Lire davantage

Wasaga Beach is an important stopover point for many migratory birds. It is a recognized nesting site for piping plover, a threatened and endangered species globally. Transfer of land outside of Wasaga Beach PP to allow tourism development is putting these sensitive species at risk. Lire davantage

Absolutely not! Local residents in Collingwood and Wasaga Beach are constantly getting things taken away. During covid all the great hiking spots were basically taken away and once were able ro get outside we were no longer permitted to park anywhere. Lire davantage
