Wasaga Beach Provincial Park isn’t just a summer destination, it’s one of the last remaining nesting grounds for the endangered Piping Plover in Ontario. These tiny shorebirds have made a fragile comeback since 2007, thanks to years of careful stewardship and protection. Lire davantage

I do not feel that provincial parks should be divided and portions sold to private interests. Let the towns revitalize existing areas or non-agricultural areas elsewhere. Any actions to carve land out of provincial parks will be a slippery slope.

Selling of publicly owned green space for developers profit in southwest Ontario is shameful to say the least. Leave our public green spaces alone. Lire davantage

As a resident of Ontario I am appalled by this proposal to sell off public lands. Selling off communities resources for the benefit of a few wealthy developers is beyond wrong, these lands need to remain in provincial parks for citizens to use.

I am outraged that the Ford government is now selling off provincial parks. I am not surprised though. When Bill 5 was rammed down our throats I knew Ford would come after the parks right off the bat. Our parks are all we have left that's worthwhile in this province. Lire davantage

Leave our provincial parks alone! Not everything needs to be developed. We need more green space, not less!!

Hands off our parkland. Provincial parkland should remain in the hands of the public. Stop selling off crown land to developers. Selling this land to the town of Wasaga Beach is the opposite of what the Ontario government should be doing. Lire davantage

Do not sell off our parkland which contains environmentally sensitive areas. May also contain habitat for endangered species. This is the heritage for future generations that will never be recovered if destroyed. Find other lands to develop!

As a resident of the Georgian Bay area, I am completely against the transfer and or sale of any of the provincial park lands in the area of Wasaga Beach, including the areas mentioned in the study above. Lire davantage

One way to help boost tourism would be to allow Airbnb to operate in Wasaga. It is ridiculous that private cottage rentals are not allowed. Lire davantage

No development of Wasaga beach. Stop attacking our environment for the sake of lining your pockets. In a day and age where humans have stressed the environment and the globe to the brink of catastrophe I find the actions of the Ontario government appalling. Lire davantage

Please do not amend the Provincial Parks Act to allow development within Wasaga Beach. This is an important habitat of an endangered species, the piping plover. Development and business should never be given priority above life. Especially that of an endangered species. Lire davantage

As an Ontarian I love our public provincial parks. Allowing the sale of a portion of any provincial park to private developers is NOT in the interest of the public. Ontario is not for sale!

I am not in agreement with the premiers plan to sell parts of wasaga beach for development. The premier has questionable interests that do not lie with the betterment of the public, but with the betterment of his private sector developer pals.

This will endanger the piping plover population living in the area and I am not okay with continuously selling out for profits while hurting innocent wildlife that deserve to have homes. Lire davantage
