I am thoroughly opposed to this bill. I routinely use bike lanes to get around the city as part of my work and to take my kids to swim practice and karate. It is faster and better than transit or driving. New bike lanes should be expanded, not banned.

I love cars. I own more than my fair share and couldn't live without. But this is a preposterous proposition that stands against the interests of the people. It is anti-evidence virtue-signaling to a minority, and backwards-looking, view. Lire davantage

Any reduction in bike lanes would be extremely dangerous for people who commute by cycling to work I will not bike on streets without a bike lane to give me the feeling of protection as much as it can give against the bad drivers of our province Lire davantage

This bill will make Toronto's streets and sidewalks more dangerous and do nothing to reduce gridlock

I am not merely a “cyclist”, “motorist” “public transit user” or “pedestrian”. I am a citizen of Toronto that uses all forms of transportation. I commute to work and to social events by bike or by TTC. I prefer not to use my car but I do when circumstances make it necessary. Lire davantage

I don't support the bill which bans the creation of bike lanes. Cyclists are citizens too, and safety is the overriding priority!

I am an elderly cyclist in Toronto. Bike lanes allow me to do errands and get to appointments with ease. If a driver hits a cyclist, that ruins both of our days! Even the governments own experts recognize that bike lanes are not a cause of gridlock: this argument is a straw man. Lire davantage

Schedule 5 of Bill 60 proposed amendment to prohibit lane reductions for the creation or expansion of bike lanes eliminates municipalities, their stakeholders, and their advisors from implementing policy targeting mobility improvement in their communities. Lire davantage

It’s very disappointing when building safe and healthy cities gets politicized. It is global recognized and a proven fact that providing safe and accessible active transportation options including public transit is the only scientifically proven solution to our vehicular congestion problems. I bike in the city, mostly on designated bine paths because of how unsafe drivers are in the roads, and take transit to work daily. On my commute heading South on Broadview to Broadview station, i will be on a packed bus with 30+ folks, stuck in gridlock due to 20 single passenger vehicles. Lire davantage

Doug Fords proposed Bill 60 has clearly been proposed without any forethought for consequences - it only aims to appease suburban voters for Doug's short term gain. Lire davantage

Question in this law are currently being litigated and government has shown 0 value to removing bike lanes or other vehicle lanes in favor of cars. This will slow down traffic and make it harder for cities to address these issues. Lire davantage

I disagree with this proposal. It strips cities of local authority and decision-making, even when projects are supported by evidence and local residents. Lire davantage

It will make roads more dangerous. Protected bike lanes prevent serious injuries and deaths for people biking, walking, and driving. Priority should be given to support those that live in the communities by supporting bike lanes, patios, bus lanes, and school crossings/streets. Lire davantage

I am against Bill 60. I live close to the east end of Toronto's Danforth Avenue, a street that has bike lanes, street parking and (in the summer) patios. I do own a car and drive, as well as have a bike for cycling, and I use public transit to get to work. Lire davantage

I want to see more bike lanes in our city and please do not rip out existing ones. I want to live in a city with more bike lanes. It is safer for the bikers and better for the environment when more people bike. Lire davantage
