This proposed law is a shame and dangerous for all especially vulnerable users of the road.

This legislation will effectively end the creation of any new bike lanes on surface roads within the province. In urban centers like London, Toronto, Kingston and Ottawa there is little to zero available space to create additional roads or off-road lanes to support bike lanes. Lire davantage

Bike lanes are really important. I've been cycling as my primary mode of transportation within the city for years. That has kept me out of my car and reduced the number of cars on the road. Lire davantage

Follow the evidence from your civil servants and support bike lanes.

This proposed regulation goes against evidence and best practices in the management of traffic congestion. Incentivizing a modal shift by providing safe alternatives to driving is the only sustainable and fiscally responsible way to address congestion. Lire davantage

I do not support the proposed legislation affecting traffic lanes. My family including my wife, my son and daughter all cycle regularly and appreciate the added safety of bike lanes. Lire davantage

I agree with Bill 60. There is room in the city for bike lanes but their location should not interfere with the efficient functions of Ontario cities. Lire davantage

This Bill unfairly targets bicycle lanes and specifically calls them out in a manner that undermines them. This is not a forward thinking Bill and will not meet the aim of the Bill to fight delays and build faster. Lire davantage

The ban on reducing motor vehicle lanes is poor planning as it will not just impact bike lanes but also affect bus priority lanes, patios, school streets, and other street improvements that rely on reallocating space. Lire davantage

I strongly oppose this proposal under Bill 60 – Fighting Delays, Building Faster Act, 2025. It removes critical decision making power from our cities, even when local evidence and community support back street redesigns by barring municipalities from reducing vehicle lanes to install bike lanes. I am not against bike lanes per se. But they have to make sense, and be used. For example, the bike lanes downtown on Richmond Street are well designed and well used and a bright spot for bike lanes in Toronto. Lire davantage

Hi I am a cyclist and a psychotherapist. I live in High Park. I started biking 2-3 years ago precisely because of more bike lanes and safety. I now bike regularly monthly to see friends, get groceries, drop of food for people. It is essential to my wellbeing. Lire davantage

Ughhhh. I don't feel safe biking without bike lanes. The less I bike the more cars are on the road. Even when I'm a driver I feel safer when the bikes are in bike lanes!! I hate navigating a road where cyclists are not separated from traffic. :( Some less personal reasons I am against this bill: Lire davantage

I am totally opposed to Ford's move to interfere with municipal council decisions, and in particular to block off bike lanes. There are growing numbers of cyclists year round and bike lanes provide relatively safe road use for bikes and automobiles.

Please please please consider giving authority back to the municipalities on issues that are local. If a city decides to remove car lanes for bike lanes in vetted proper process, it needs to be allowed for those residents. Lire davantage

I believe Bill 60 is an unhelpful and deeply retrograde piece of legislation. Championing car commutes over every single more environmentally friendly option? That is not leadership, that is pandering to the worst instincts of Ontarian voters. Lire davantage

This is very concerning to me for many reasons. First: I am a cyclist. I do not own a car and I cannot afford to change that. Why make the cost of living crisis worse by refusing to make this lifestyle possible? Lire davantage

The ones who are actually at the head of the Ontario Gvt think only about protecting their own way of life, their life in the suburbs. They want to come and leave downtown as fast as possible. No speed camera for them: they might slow them down! Lire davantage
