Hi, I believe this bill is detrimental to public safety and accessibility. - It strips cities of local authority and decision-making, even when projects are supported by evidence and local residents. Lire davantage

I support the governments decision to reduce gridlock but removing bike lanes that our under utilized and the have created gridlock. The majority of people in the province support "sensible" bike lanes. Lire davantage

Doug Ford needs to stop wasting taxpayer money on his personal vendetta against cycling. He sounds like he needs to take a vacation in the Netherlands or Belgium. Lire davantage

As a resident of Toronto, I strongly oppose the proposed amendment to the Highway Traffic Act under Bill 60, which would prohibit municipalities from reducing vehicle lanes to install or mark new bicycle lanes. Lire davantage

This is an absurd affront not just to cities' right to self determination, but against known science, evidence, and it's own stated goals. Bike lanes are faster and cheaper to build and facilitate lowering gridlock. Lire davantage

This proposal will not make travelling by car easier or reduce gridlock. It will also make the roads more dangerous for all road users, not just cyclists. Study after study has shown that adding more car lanes only causes more cars to use those lanes, increasing, gridlock and air pollution. Lire davantage

I do not understand the purpose of limiting road use to cars and trucks. It doesn't make practical or policy sense. Lire davantage

I have a car and bike. I use my bike much more often than the car. I am against this proposal that would limit municipalities power on making our cites safe for all users. It will worsen traffic congestion, not reduce it. It will make roads more dangerous. Lire davantage

Bike lanes reduce traffic by getting people out of cars. I personally choose to bike instead of drive in Toronto where bike lanes are convenient and safe.

This is absurd. It's time for this government to stop prioritizing cars in cities, and follow the lead of world class cities like Paris, Amsterdam and London by letting people get around efficiently by bike, foot and public transportation.

This legislation is over reach into local municipal issues on which the people who live and work in Toronto should have the final say. Lire davantage

Sure. Take your vehicle. And then just try to park it. Go ahead. Maybe you will be lucky. Getting anywhere in Toronto is almost matched whether you take a vehicle or a bicycle. When you get to your destination, finding a parking spot for a vehicle is like participating in The Hunger Games. Lire davantage

It strips cities of local authority and decision-making, even when projects are supported by evidence and local residents. It will worsen traffic congestion, not reduce it. The government’s ownexperts have consistently said that bike lanes are not a cause of gridlock. Lire davantage

I'm glad to see the province taking a responsible approach for all taxpayers and not just a vocal minority. As a cyclist myself, I believe the city has gone too far for the cycling advocates that never want a balanced approach. Lire davantage

The bike lanes on Bloor anywhere West of Keele are terrible for the neighbourhoods, transit and people trying to get to work. These bike lanes have caused so much traffic in my neighbourhood. The lanes sit unused while cars are lined up waiting to move. Lire davantage

I want more bike lanes and fewer car lanes. please build raised protected bike lanes and even better bike roads away from other traffic. Bill 60 removes local authority and flexibility. Will worsen traffic as has been proven over and over again. Lire davantage
