I do not support this bill. The Ontario Government's own experts state that bike lanes do not contribute to gridlock. I use the bike lanes in Toronto all the time, both for biking and rollerblading - every time I do, I am reducing gridlock because I'm not using my car. Lire davantage

I strongly oppose Bill 60 for several critical reasons that directly affect the safety and well-being of cyclists, especially parents like myself who bike in Toronto with a toddler. Lire davantage

I strongly oppose this bill. I have lived in downtown Toronto my whole life, do not have a car or even a driver’s licence, and rely solely on public transit, my bicycle, or my own two feet to get around. Lire davantage

Get out of our backyard, Mr. Ford. I pay my taxes in downtown Toronto and expect to enjoy the infrastructure that I paid for. I paid for bike lanes and summer patios. We paid for it and visitors passing through don't get to tell us how to live. Lire davantage

I’m in my 50s, and I’ve been riding my bike in the city for 30 years. I remember the days when we didn’t have bike lines, and cars is crowded you out on the street. It was dangerous, but it was a faster way to get to work. Lire davantage

It will make roads more dangerous. Protected bike lanes prevent serious injuries and deaths for people biking, walking, and driving.

As a long time supporter of Ford, I am really disappointed in the ongoing attacks on bike lane infrastructure. The ability for everyone to travel safely through a city should be more information to the province than a vendetta against bike lanes. Lire davantage

Bill 60 prioritizes speed over accountability. It weakens municipal authority, environmental protections, and public oversight by centralizing power with the Minister and cutting consultation timelines. These changes risk undermining safety, transparency, and long-term planning integrity. Lire davantage

This bill is a gross overreach of provincial power and will stop municipalities from deciding what works for them. Bike lanes do not cause gridlock, this is proven by the provinces own research. Lire davantage

I do not support the proposed Bill 60 as it is an overreach by the province on municipal decision-making and will not achieve what it claims to do. This proposed bill will make roads less safe or all types of users and will increase congestion. Lire davantage

I strongly oppose the provisions in Bill 60 that would restrict municipalities from building new bike lanes or reallocating road space for safer and more efficient transportation. Lire davantage

I am strongly against Bill 60, and do not feel it accurately represents the needs of Ontarians. As we have already seen, particularly in Toronto, people want bike lanes, and bike lanes do not cause congestion - the courts in the Bill 212 case have shown this. Lire davantage

Bike lanes do not cause traffic congestion. This will create more congestion in the short term and make roads more dangerous for all. As a cyclist, I always feel safer biking in a protected lane and many of those who cycle share the same sentiment.

Not cool Doug. If you want the province to prioritize car lanes, that’s not how you solve traffic woes. Especially for a major metropolitan city like Toronto. As someone who relies on methods of transportation not involving a personal car, it makes the roads unsafe.

I find this bill very troubling. Modern roads should contain bike lanes, the constant prioritization of cars over all else is something I despise. Lire davantage

Comment - "I say No to Bill 60" I do not support sweeping provincial government bill that effectively prohibits municipalities from developing any new bike lanes on existing roads by prohibiting any reduction in vehicle lanes. Lire davantage

The proposal does not support sustainable transport options and may cause unnecessary imbalance in the ability to plan transportation in the province that is equitable, accessible and safe for all Ontarians. Lire davantage

I have been cycling in Toronto since 2011 and have been a motorist here since 2021. I am greatly concerned by Bill 60 for a number of reasons. It strips cities of local authority and decision-making, even when projects are supported by evidence and local residents. Lire davantage
