The Province should stay in its own lane. Balancing roads and road access is best addressed by municipal government, since they are closest to the scene. The Province has many other problems that it should address; bike lanes are not one of them.

You should be approving more cycle lanes which intrude upon car lanes, not fewer. Every year more cyclists flood the city and they are entitled to their own, safe lane even if this slows drivers slightly.

Bill 60 needs to be withdrawn. First, we need bike lanes where ever this makes cycling safer, reduces people's reliance on cars, and liberates us from the gridlock that is clogging our streets in larger cities such as Toronto (yes, bicycle lanes reduce gridlock, not the other way around.) I do not support Bill 60. The more people who bike, the less cars we have on the road. Removing bike lanes, or preventing their development, leads to unsafe cities. We need to prioritize people over cars.

I commute to work daily throughout the year on my bike. Road safety is not just a privilege, it is a fundamental right for all residents of this great province. Stop Bill 60! It will compromise and severely limit the safety of all cyclists and pedestrians.

I am 82 and believe me I do not ride a bike, but I do drive a car. I love bike lanes because I know where the bikers actually are if they are in their own lanes. And I drive on Bloor West often and do not find it slower. Lire davantage

This proposal is problematic for many reasons but I will only focus on one point: bike lanes help move people efficiently - much more efficiently than individual cars - while being environmentally friendly, affordable, and sustainable!

I live in central Toronto and drive, cycle, TTC and walk. Have done so for 30+ years. In essence, streets have a physical limit to the number of vehicles that can be reasonably handled - and Toronto is far beyond that. Lire davantage

We need bike lanes! We need options for those who make conscious environmental decisions, we need safety for pedestrians not speed for cars, we need to build a system that works for the biggest population (non car owners) and keep our city affordable in SOME way shape or form.
