This bill is horrendous and denies cyclists and pedestrians safety on streets. It does nothing to promote Ontario's commitments to reverse climate change. it prioritizes cars and automobiles over cyclists and pedestrians and does nothing to make cities more livable. Lire davantage

I am a driver, pedestrian and cyclist in the city of Toronto and I have experienced first hand the powerful effect that bike lanes have had in making a street vibrant with activity. Lire davantage

I strongly oppose Bill 60. It is undemocratic to prevent citizens from determining what happens in the cities where they live, work, and play. I ride my bike in Toronto to the gym, restaurants, grocery shopping etc every day. I have a right to ride safely which is only possible with bike lanes. Lire davantage

This legislation does nothing for the people of Ontario in a good way. It lines, the pockets of people who don’t need it it takes away from the people of Ontario who need the services and protections. This government is corrupt.

Bill 60 has far too many parts to it to allow politicians or citizens to have enough meaningful input. Bike lanes are a very welcome part of any city in Ontario. Bike lanes make roads safer for cyclists, drivers and pedestrians. Bike lanes make cities and business areas vibrant. Lire davantage

The government is again refusing to employ evidence, research and monetary prudence in policy making. Acting like Ontario is the same as it was in 1958 and that the economy and lifestyle of its residents will continue unchanged is immature and fiscally irresponsible. Lire davantage

I am writing to express my strong opposition to Bill 60, the Fighting Delays, Building Faster Act. The bill significantly limits the ability of municipalities to reallocate road space—even in small, targeted ways—to improve safety, transit efficiency, and community well-being. Lire davantage

This bill hurts cyclists and their families. Cities are best equipped to make decisions regarding bike lanes. Large-scale prohibitions at the provincial level make it harder for cities to make appropriate decisions. I will advocate against anyone who votes for this bill. Lire davantage

I am a registered psychotherapist living near High Park I bike regularly for exercise and to work. I work around Christie station, and it is an easy ride, because of bike lanes from my home near High Park. Lire davantage

Bill 60 like Bill 212 before it is retrograde policy as it applies to mobility in the province and specifically the cities of Ontario. As study after study demonstrate adding more and more roads only increases vehicular congestion. Lire davantage

For decades I have been advocating for bike lanes. Finally the cities are responding to the call, and now the Province wants to override all efforts through Bill 60. This is a travesty. Stop Bill 60 for the purpose of better living.

I strongly oppose Bill 60, which seeks to amend the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) to prohibit municipalities from reducing motor vehicle traffic lanes when installing new bicycle lanes. This proposal is a step backwards in our efforts to create safer, more sustainable, and healthier communities. Lire davantage

I am a Torontonian who cycles daily as my main form of commuting and I am incredibly frustrated and scared for my safety if this bill passes. Bike lanes are shown time and time again to make roads safer for all users. Lire davantage

The housing crisis in Ontario is already out of control, and this bill would make it far too easy for landlords to evict and displace already vulnerable tenants out on to the streets where there are already far too many unhoused people. Lire davantage

Proceeding with any further dismantling of bicycle infrastructure in the City of Toronto will be met with far more delays and disruption for vehicle drivers. Not to mention that as soon as the next government is formed, the cycling infrastructure will be replaced. Lire davantage

Bill 60 is just plain wrong. The Ontario government should not be allowed to make decisions that seriously affect how municipalities deal with growth and transportation. Doug Ford's actions are anti-environmental. Lire davantage
