As a driver and a cyclist, I prefer both driving my car and riding my bike on streets that have bicycle lanes. It's safer for everyone

I am concerned about the overreach this legislation has on local democratic decisions. Moving forward biking infrastructure will be important as the city grows. Evidence based decision making should be the guide. This legislation would override these decisions for political reasons.

I deeply and strongly oppose Bill 60. As a cyclist, driver, and pedestrian who lives adjacent to Parkside Drive in Toronto, I'm appalled at this bill's, and the government's, disregard for the safety of Ontarians. Lire davantage

Please don't do this! What's everyone's rush? Let's slow down, breathe fresh air. Life is short enough, let's not make it shorter!

Studies continue to show that bike lanes and other initiatives to slow traffic down save lives. For the provincial government to constantly side with the rights of drivers to get to their destinations faster regardless of the effect on pedestrians and cyclists is reckless. Lire davantage

Toronto needs more bike lanes, not less. I recently read that traffic in the Toronto to Hamilton area has increased by almost 50 percent since the early 2000s and that car registrations in ON increased by over 50 percent since that time. Lire davantage

Bike lanes save lives. Please don't remove them. The data doesn't support your actions.

We just finished 2 months cycling in Europe. It is very clear that the infrastructure must come first and then the cyclists will follow. People are too fearful to cycle in lanes with distracted and/or angry motorists. Lire davantage

This proposal is deeply disappointing and shows a troubling disregard for sustainable urban planning and climate responsibility. Prohibiting municipalities from reducing car lanes to make space for new bike infrastructure is a blatant step backward. Lire davantage

I feel that removing or restricting bike lanes in our ever growing and congested city is a very foolish choice to make. These lanes make it safer for those who choose this relatively inexpensive, healthy and liberating form of transportation a safer option. Lire davantage

I am regarding the restrictions on the creation of new bicycle lanes found in Bill 60. I am a 69 year old woman residing near both Dupont and Parkside Drive, sites which will be impacted by the bill. Lire davantage

Bike lanes are crucial city infrastructure and keep us all safe: bike riders, pedestrians and drivers alike. The province should not be able to override local decisions and local priorities - to do so would be a huge overreach of power. Lire davantage

I live in Toronto and I am against the bill 60. We need to maintain as much freedom as possible in our province, and this bill reduces freedom. It reduces our freedom because it limits the options for our people to build their cities the way they want and that is safer for them. Lire davantage

We cannot pretend that we are prioritizing health or efficiency in health spending if we are not working toward a city that encourages walking and biking as viable, safe forms of transportation. This is a fundamentally uncomplicated perspective that is validated by a wide body of evidence. Lire davantage

I am a regular bike commuter as is my husband and 2 children. I am devastated by the government's approach to bike lanes. This bill is a huge disappointment. It makes my family less safe. It puts my children's lives at risk as they bike to and from school. Lire davantage

I am a resident of Toronto who drives, walks and bikes. I understand the challenges of all three modes of transportation in the city, and I can tell you that bike lines not only save lives, they reduce traffic and keep the city moving. Lire davantage

My major concern is that not only is our premier trying to eliminate bike lanes that are in place , but he wants to prevent additional ones being built all in the name of the almighty car. Lire davantage

I vehemently oppose bill 60. This is directly counter to the FACT BASED SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE that supports that bike lanes save lives and do not cause traffic gridlock. Lire davantage
