This is very against Ontario taxpayers and voters, and is actually quite shocking. It removes cities of local authority and decision-making, even when projects are supported by evidence and local residents. Lire davantage

I take my kids to school every day on our cargo bike. We also go all over the city on it. Bike lanes keep us safe. Don't put my kids' lives at risk by outlawing them.

This is beyond stupid. This is a dangerous proposal that will put the lives of Ontario residents at risk. Lire davantage

These bike paths need to stay; they create order in what was always chaos before, with cars, trucks, bikes and scoooters all competing for the centre lane. The outside lane was always taken up with parked vehicules. Don't rip out what we're now used to, and what has been paid for. Lire davantage

As a lifelong Toronto cyclist who cycles not for pleasure but for work (to get to my office each day), Bill 60 will cause direct harm to me and my safety. Lire davantage

I oppose Bill 60 because it will not solve the problems it claims to fix. Government experts have proven that bike lanes do not create traffic congestion. Lire davantage

From what I see on a daily basis on my commute is that cyclists do not slow traffic even when they are provided a bicycle lane. Lire davantage

This proposal would make roads even more dangerous for vulnerable road users. Lire davantage

I strongly oppose Bill 60. This legislation represents a serious overreach by the provincial government into decisions that should be made locally. Municipalities are best positioned to decide how to use their road space, including whether to add or repurpose lanes for cycling infrastructure. Lire davantage

Centering all transportation planning around cars helps no one. Or even drivers. The best way to alleviate traffic congestion is to get people to choose other forms of transportation. Building bike lanes and well funded public transit does this. Lire davantage

The proposed legislation that would prohibit vehicle lane reductions for the implementation of new bike lanes is dangerous, misguided, and short-sighted. Lire davantage

I can't believe I am doing this again. After the Bill 212 fiasco, I feel again compelled to write and submit my opposition to another short sighted and destructive initiative from Doug Ford's government. I strongly opposed Bill 60 and all it entails. Lire davantage

I strongly disagree with Bill 60's blanket ban on removing vehicular lanes to make way for sustainable modes of transportation, be they surface routes for transit or protected routes for active transportation (bikes, ebikes, scooters, mobility devices etc). Lire davantage

I don't understand the logic of this, let alone how much more dangerous our streets would be. This bill would: - Worsen traffic congestion, not reduce it. The government’s own experts have consistently said that bike lanes are not a cause of gridlock. Lire davantage

This is a ridiculous overstep in power. Not only does this type of infrastructure planning fall within the jurisdiction of municipalities, but studies have shown that restricting bike lane by adding bike lanes doesn't decrease congestion. Lire davantage

I live in The Annex in Toronto, and I drive far more than I bike. However, I understand the importance of bike lanes, and I think the province should not have authority over how the City of Toronto operates bike lanes. Cars should not be prioritized in cities. Lire davantage
