I think it is a terrible idea to consolidate the Conservation Authorities into 7 large entities. Bigger does not always mean better.
Quick action in any situation would not happen because of the hierarchy that would have to be followed to get results.

I think the regional consolidation of conservation authorities will bring more consistency and faster service but it is important to protect local knowledge and involve locals in decision making process.
Merging the CA's is a terrible idea for many reasons. Do not do this. we need more environmental monitoring, ecological data collection, and ecological rehabilitation work - not less!!!! We need experts that understand the local watersheds.

I do NOT support the regional consolidation of Ontario’s Conservation Authorities. The current system is working very well for both urban areas and natural environments.
This is a terrible plan that serves no purpose but to disable the conservation authorities as protectors and overseers of our natural environment. Do not go through with this!
The consolidation of the conservation authorities will eliminate the reason they were made in the first place. We need these organizations to be fine so they are able to attentively preform their jobs.

I would embrace the changes of the conservation authorities if it will help make things easier to get a permit. Quinte Conservation was a nightmare when we were trying to build our house. They create erosion control zone which you need to build behind but can't tell you where it is. Such a joke.
