We do need availability to housing for our children. It’s difficult for post secondary students to even get a job after graduating with a degree....everywhere wants experience but not willing to give a chance. If they cannot find jobs how on earth can they ever save for a home. Lire davantage

The Government initiative in lessening the regulatory time and costs burden in the supply of housing is the best strategy for increasing the supply of housing in the Province. Every resident is entitled to have a place to call home. Lire davantage

I think the government needs to realize that this cannot be taken care of with One swoop of the paintbrush. You need to consider things like the neighborhood, property sizes and style of build when deciding what to allow into an established neighborhood. Lire davantage

Emphasis needs to be put in the roadways, public transit in the GTO area of southern Ontario. The more homes you create you’re looking at a minimum of 2 additional cars per roadway. Oftentimes 3-4 people in each household each have a car! I see this in my neighbourhood. Lire davantage

Make Ontario greener! Do not interfere with the Greenbelt. Keep public spaces public. We don't need more houses, we need more natural parks. Build up, not out. Humans should share the land with other species, not destroy the environment for their pleasure and wealth.

How about you get developers out of your pockets? The only people who are going to be aided by this legislation are developers and real estate brokers. Who is getting kickbacks for this? This is not transparent government.

I am a 71 year old senior woman, widowed at age 41. I have ONLY OAS and CPP. Included in this amount is a Guaranteed Income Supplement. If I get a part time job I lose the GIS. I receive a total of $1600+/-, per month. By the time I pay rent, I am not left with much.

Do not allow development of the green belt or the provinces farmlands under any circumstances. Affordable housing can be built in smaller towns further away from the GTA. Lire davantage

The most important part of our housing plan is environmental sustainability. Every new home needs to be built with a zero emissions design: less heating and cooling due to top notch insulation. It’s not too expensive if the homes are not built too big. Lire davantage

At this point can you please circulate a version of the PPS that illustrates clearly the changes in wording being proposed. A version with strikeouts and additions highlighted would make the review much easier. THX Stephen

One big impediment to supplying new housing to Ontarians is that most cities have exclusionary zoning policies, designed to make it hard to build anything other than bigger single family homes. Lire davantage
