One thing about this point system is, say you have 10 points and you only need 7 to draw a bull or cow tag you should only loose 7 points out of the 10 you have . Lire davantage

I like the new changes, Biggest change that needs to be made is take calf hunting right off the table. Only bulls and cows. Hunters are getting very good at hunting them and between wolf/bear predation and hunters there up against the odds! Lire davantage

1) If the moose population is declining / isn't strong, then why is the MNRF worried about unclaimed moose tags? Those unclaimed moose tags are basically a saved moose to contribute to breeding and the population, especially cows and calfs. Lire davantage

New system works fine and is fair. Should be those with the highest points deserve the right to turn a tag down as they've put in their waiting time to be at the top. 100% their choice to turn it down as part of a strategy for planning future years of hunting. Lire davantage

Please do not change this system. It is working. I’ve never seen so many moose in the bush than the last two years. Don’t pander to the cry babies who alway had tags with their giant groups and ghost hunters. Lire davantage

The new changes are great other then loosing your points if you don't except a tag first choice in the second draw. System now is set up that people have to apply with friends and is a chance more then one draws and they want to turn back a tag but now will get penalized. Lire davantage

why cant you do a group hunt point system so if five guys got 25 points why cant they get a tag between the five of them, that way there is a group of five hunters that get to hunt moose. Lire davantage

It takes 10 years to get tag with point system. Being able to keep tag without buying it is ridiculous because you can hunt and harvest moose illegally and then claim tag.if you get tag you should have to claim. party hunting should be encouraged not discouraged. Lire davantage

This is not going to work. It will be exactly the same. GO BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS BEFORE THE POINT SYSTEM!!! You shouldn’t lose all of your points if you receive an adult tag! It could be years before I get an adult tag again. Lire davantage

These proposed changes should be absolutely implemented for 2025. Not only will these changes allow more hunters and hunting groups to hunt moose, it will also have a positive economic impact which can be re-invested into moose research. There is zero-downside to putting these changes in place.

The changes to the moose license system a few years ago negated opportunities for non-residents to hunt with immediate relatives. After hunting with the same group of guys for 25 years I was no longer eligible to hunt unless my father actually held the tag. Lire davantage
