It is important to ensure that developers know that our provincial parks are not for sale. The parks were established for all to enjoy and not for profit. Please do not sell our provincial park.

This is totally unacceptable. Land was expropriated from cottage owners for the benefit of all Ontarians and visitors. Now this corrupt government is going to give away Ontario place and now Wasaga beach! We have a property near New Wasaga Beach and have been going there for 40 years. Lire davantage

If the transfer from the park to the town goes ahead, I feel it is really important to include requirements that the town actively protect the Piping Plover nesting area. It has taken time to develop, and it is a critically important area for the species. Lire davantage

No,no,no...will we learn to late that we need to protect as many of these places as we can. We need more protection for places like this. This is not a forward thinking decision.

It’s deeply saddening and disheartening that Ontario would consider giving up protected land like this. Once this land is lost you can never get it back. This will rob future generations of the ability to enjoy the beauty and destroy biodiversity. Lire davantage

Wasaga Beach has been a summer go to for over 60 years for our family. If you sell it off it will no longer be accessible to common people. It will hurt endangered species and habitats. Lire davantage

Please do not cut down Wasaga Beach's land by so much! This will have negative impacts on surrounding wildlife including the endangered Piping Plover birds, and will likely reduce tourism to the area- Wasaga beach should be protected and removed just to turn a profit. Lire davantage

I'm the 3rd generation of my family to spend time at Wasaga and of course I've taken my children and now grandchildren. I can still remember driving down Moseley st and seeing inflables and beach toys everywhere, so exciting for a child. Lire davantage

Although I believe that there is some exaggerated misinformation circulating about the scope of this land transfer, I do have two major concerns and would prefer seeing the Province continue (and take back) the stewardship of the entire beach. Lire davantage

I have been fortunate enough to view Piping Plovers on their breeding grounds in Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia. Although I was at Wasaga Beach on that cross-Canada trip, I did not see them there. Lire davantage

Without any clear plan from any municipality or purchaser, simply selling off provincial parks or heritage land on simple speculation is simply irresponsible/(illegal?). Lire davantage

Lack of transparency, vague promises to protect sensitive areas, a complete lack of trust in the honesty and integrity of the provincial and local governments means I cannot support this.

Hello. I am a 12 year old from Ontario. I absolutely love to go to Wasaga Beach. It holds many memories from my family and I. I hate how you are going to destroy my favourite beach. The new buildings are going to pollute the beach and the pollution will go through the rest of the bay. Lire davantage

I am one voice of many who objects to removing any Wasaga Beach land from provincial control. There are things that are more important that money or appeasing developers, and this is one of them. We owe it to future generations to preserve as much of this precious land as possible. Lire davantage

This should not happen, it sets a dangerous precedent for developing public lands.

I am a senior currently living in Oshawa, Ontario. I grew up in Thornbury, and I went to Wasaga Beach with my family when I was younger. I then moved around and didn't see the beach again until I was married in my early 20's. Lire davantage

I am a Wasaga Beach resident and live on the river across from the land in question. We don't support the town having access to this land as we are afraid that we will wake up to a condo on our doorstep. Lire davantage

Provincial parks by their own right boost tourism and our economy. These are the places that are fundamental to our way of life in many ways. Leave them alone!
