This is a horrible idea and I do not agree to this proposal. This has negative environmental impacts which will affect Ontario residents physical and mental health as well as result in poor economic growth.

Revising the boundaries to make fewer and larger conservation authorities is a VERY BAD idea. Local watersheds should be managed by local authorities who have studied their local areas and know their local needs. Conservation areas like the Essex Region are incredibly valuable and rare. I'm sad to see your rationalization for the changes to the Conservation Authorities. I believe that reducing the number of conservation areas will lead to a lack of awareness of water issues, spreading the staff too thinly to effectively care for the area. Lire davantage

About time!!! I've worked with 6 different CAs over the years on development/rezoning issues, and there is no consistency. I will also say at least 2 of the ones I've interacted with operate as "who you know" authorities, letting bad behaviour slide with hefty charitable donations in place. Lire davantage

As someone who studies environmental science. Getting rid of ERCA in Windsor Essex sets us back for conservation efforts and watershed management. We are surrounded by river and lake watershed management is so important to ensure public safety, floods and water quality.

We do not need the extreme environmental policies up North here in the Thunder Bay and District. Merging the Kawartha Lakes and Lakehead Regional Conservation Authority will add more beauraucracy to this regoin and we do NOT need any more of that! I am 100% against this merger!
