I am strongly opposed to reducing the amount of provincial park land which is correspondingly protected from development. It is our duty as stewards of the land to maintain the quality, integrity, and diversity of the land on which we live. Lire davantage

This is bullshit. I'm tired of Doug Ford selling off our province. Don't do this

The selling off of public parkland is shameful and will be a stain on Ontario's history. Ontario Place was enough! Capitalist pigs don't make good politicians.

Wasaga beach is a place for everyone to enjoy, it is a provincial park, and as such should remain provincially owned and protected from environmental damage and corporate greed. Lire davantage

I strongly oppose the proposed sale of the beachfront property at Wasaga Beach Provincial Park. Provincial parks exist to protect natural spaces and provide public access to nature—not to be sold off to private developers. Lire davantage

Absolutely NOT! A very firm NO! Wasaga is not his to sell. Wasaga is a treasure, both literally and figuratively. A treasure that is OURS, not only to enjoy, but OURS to defend! All of us who live here are bound to be stewards of this land, and the bell tolls my friends. Lire davantage

What value does wealth have if one cannot spend it to enjoy the serenity of nature. Provincial Parks must be protected from the foreseeable motivation we will have to develope the land, as the Canadian population continues to grow and spread, for the enjoyment of current and future generations. This provincial government considers nothing sacred when I comes to commercial use of property. For the sake of our sanity, our clean air, our protection of nature, do not start whittling away our provincial parks. Lire davantage

Why would the province remove land from a provincial park? It is meant for the residents of the province to enjoy, not a select few wealthier residents to build on

It is appalling that the Town of Wasaga Beach is proposing this Tourism Enhancement Proposal as many ecological valuable lands and elements would be lost or negatively impacted: Lire davantage

Leave our beaches alone. Wasaga beach can’t even look after what it has now. The town is totally incapable of taking on this responsibility. Our beaches belong to all ontarions and are not for sale .

Please don't do this. You should be creating more parks, not selling the ones we have to developers.

Ontario parks and habitats should be protected!! The type of damage this would do if Wasaga beach was taken over would be grave and irreversible. It is not wooden it to build some more property. The short term gains do not outweigh the long term losses for Ontarians or the environment. Lire davantage

I do not agree with this proposed legislation to allow development on a part of Wasaga beach provincial park. It is an important habitat for an endangered species. Lire davantage

Absolutely not! Don’t touch our Provincial Parks! This proposal is unbelievable. The generations to come must have these precious places of nature untouched by developers.

I am a lifetime resident of Wasaga Beach (over 50 years) and I strongly disagree with the transfer or sale of provincial lands to the municipal government. Wasaga Beach is the world’s longest freshwater beach- it’s simple and natural and that’s what people love and what they have ALWAYS loved. Lire davantage

What is happening to the protected plovers’ nesting area in Beach area one? There are tons of areas that could use redevelopment in Wasaga Beach among the main drag and roads/areas around the beach without affecting the beach. Please leave the provincial parks as a “park”. Lire davantage

This goes completely counter to why parks have been created in the province. If allowed, this sets a dangerous precedent for other parks. There is already more than enough land in this province available for development. The provincial parks should be left alone. Lire davantage

I am a resident of Wasaga Beach and I DO NOT favour or support the proposed legislative amendments to the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, 2006, and Historical Parks Act to support the Town of Wasaga Beach’s Tourism Enhancement Proposal. Lire davantage
