I oppose Bill 60 and ask that the Ontario government stop introducing legislation that puts cyclists, pedestrians and all commuters at increased risk.

Bill 60, the "Fighting Delays, Building Faster Act", restricts municipalities' ability to make informed decisions about public infrastructure, particularly by banning new bike lanes that remove vehicular traffic. Lire davantage

I oppose the provision in Bill 60 that would prevent municipalities from reducing vehicle lanes to install new bicycle lanes. Lire davantage

Bill 60 does so many things wrong it makes my head spin, but fundamentally 2 thigns really stand out. Lire davantage

bike lanes need to be encouraged rather than widening or adding lanes for cars. Cars are great for inter city travel but within the cities, public transit and environment friendly modes of commuting need to be encouraged. Lire davantage

This proposal, like bill 212, is not evidence based and will cause future harm to Ontarians.

Traffic congestion is an issue and thats because there are too many vehicles on the road. Therefore the objective of any new legislation must be to reduce that volume by providing alternatives. Lire davantage

I am saddened and sickened by this proposal. This government has been determined to remove rights from citizens and to benefit the car industry, the gas industry, and the funeral industry thanks to their absolute refusal to provide safe access to active transportation. Lire davantage

My first comment was not approved but it is hard to believe that Toronto - a city I have lived and cycled in my whole life is now moving away from safe cycling. Prioritizing cars is not what Torontonians want and Doug Ford himself commented how safe he felt with bike lanes. Lire davantage

LRT: This could have implications to the City’s intent to convert the third eastbound lane on Main Street from Dundurn St to Longwood Road as part of the LRT project. Lire davantage

No to Bill 60. We need to encourage discussion and increase multiple forms of transit in our city. It allows for people of different income levels the ability to get around. Doug Ford needs to stop this nonsense with Bill 112 and Bill 60. Bikes and bike lanes are not the problem.

Please leave Toronto city planning to Toronto. This bill intrudes upon our right to determine how we live in our city.

It's frustrating that this bill is an Ontario proposition, when it's clearly a Toronto issue it's targeting. As a Toronto resident of more than 25 years, I disagree with the presumption that getting "cars" moving is the way to make a city more efficient. Lire davantage

In many cases there are more vehicle lanes than we need. More lanes encourage more cars and don't alleviate traffic. They just encourage more personal vehicles instead of encouraging public transit, walking, and biking. This is why I am against Bill 60. Lire davantage

I’m tired of bills, like Bill 60, being pushed on the public by the provincial government without consent and minimizing opportunities for real democratic debate and opposition. Lire davantage

The "fight" against bike lanes is an anti-evidence outlook driven by a politically regressive premier that is pushing his dated outlook on municipalities - using sleazy tactics like omnibus bills. This is the wrong move for urban planning - by an non-urban-planner.

There should be way more investment in cycling lanes than less. The province is regressing.
