I am opposed to the merger of the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority with any other conservation authority. It makes no sense! Look at the back side of the Ontario roads map to see where it is. It’s about 700 km. From any other Conservation Authority.

I live in an amalgamated municipality. I’m sure the argument for putting all of the small communities under one umbrella was similar to the argument for combining all the CA’s into larger groups. In theory it’s a great idea but it doesn’t work in real life the way it works on paper. Lire davantage

Your map of conservation areas show only a very small portion of Northeastern Ontario is designated as a Conservation Area. What is the reason for that? A very large area is part of the Ottawa River Watershed but nowhere is there any indication that it is part of a conservation area! Lire davantage
