Personally I belive that the boundaries should be left as is. I belive making the regional boundaries larger takes away the more informed and understand of the needs of the smaller districts. Read more

The Government of Ontario should not be merging the existing Conservation Authorities into larger bodies. The Greenbelt has a very specific biodiversity and watershed that is very different than the surrounding areas that it will be amalgamated with. Read more

Bad idea! Regional authorities are far more in touch with local issues and the nuances of local environmental issues and conditions. Bigger does not equal better, nor is it necessarily more efficient. Read more

Ontario various ecological zones are distinct, and benefit from local management by knowledgeable experts who understand the area they are managing intimately. This won't be possible with mega regions. Read more

This distrubutional focus is far too large to deal with and be properly managed The lake Erie and Huron aread are far to large! I believe a merging of some CA's makes sense but using your current desing will do more harm to the environment as may things will fall through the cracks or be missed!

I have serious concerns about the government’s proposal to merge Ontario’s 36 conservation authorities into seven regional bodies. This would weaken local watershed management, reduce accountability to communities, and undermine flood protection. Read more

I disagree with the consolidation of the conservation authorities. This seems to be a short-sighted attempt to consolidate power to the Province. I think that local planning is the best way to maintain knowledge and understanding and ensure that unique municipal characters can exist. Read more
