Hello, this is a terrible proposal. Please keep on building lasting infrastructure that supports active transportation primarily and public transportation secondarily. Lire davantage

No not proceed with this bill, period! We need more ways of getting around in the city. Cars shouldnt be the only mode of transportation .

My wife rides her bike to work. I'm always worried about her safety. Maintaining and enhancing bike lanes will help keep my mind at ease knowing that her commute is safe.

This legislation is terrible and a huge step backwards. It will increase injuries and deaths and will not improve traffic congestion. All data and evidence is against this legislation.

I would like to comment on the proposed bike lane legislation. I am a 78 year old grandmother who does not own a car. For 20 years my bike has been my mode of transportation and I have watched my local bike infrastructure improve over time, although it still has a long way to go. Lire davantage

I believe streets should be built to accommodate all modes of transport. If this results in less car lanes it is probably for the better as cars are the least efficient way to transport people. Lire davantage

Active transportation requires safe cycling infrastructure. Supporting active transportation is good for all of Canada as a health initiative. It leads to more livable cities and facilitates healthy lifestyle choices.

As a property tax payer in Markham, I would like our municipalities and the constituents who live in those constituencies to control policies on bike lanes. Lire davantage

This is a drastic over reach by the provincial government. Decisions about bike lane infrastructure should be made by cities, as they have the biggest impact on the people nearby. Lire davantage

I’m writing as a Toronto resident who relies on safe cycling infrastructure every day. Bill 60 (“Fighting Delays, Building Faster Act”) would ban new bike lanes that replace a lane of vehicle traffic, and potentially block other uses of our roads. Lire davantage

First and foremost, I am both a cyclist and a taxpayer. I have the same rights and entitlement to live safely in this province as someone who primarily drives. It has been proven many times over that bike lanes save lives and reduce traffic in congested areas by getting people out of their cars. Lire davantage

As a year-round cyclist in Toronto, I rely on bike lanes every day—even at -25°C. Too often, I am forced to the side of the road by passing cars when I lack the protection of a dedicated lane. This is not just uncomfortable; it is dangerous. Lire davantage

Bill 60's clauses about bike lanes are extremely confusing to me, especially when your own transportation experts agree: bike lanes don’t cause congestion. Lire davantage

The claim that removing bike lines, or keeping car lanes in favour of installing bike lines, will reduce traffic is completely false even by the measurements of Ford's own experts. Lire davantage

While I'm fairly certain the government has already made up it's mind on this, I'll still note that there is no evidence that anything in this bill will actually improve congestion - in fact, much of it seems prime to do the opposite. Lire davantage

I am extremely disappointed that this bill includes provisions for preventing the reduction of road lanes for the purposes of installing bike lanes. Lire davantage

This is a disappointing bill that is bad for Toronto and bad for the province. Cities need to be able to build infrastructure that moves people around in ways other than driving in order to keep people moving and ensure that not everyone needs a car to get around. Lire davantage

As a tenant who lives at downtown, Toronto, I absolutely support this Bill. I believe this legislation will make the environment a better place by reducing those who won’t paying their rent but still want to stay in the residences they are not belongs to. Lire davantage

Bicycles take up much space per person than private vehicles. Bicycle lanes also provide an option for more people to travel by bicycle (or other mobility devices), reducing the need for driving. So bicycle lanes can be a better solution to congestion than adding more lanes for private vehicles. Lire davantage

I'm concerned that Bill 60 will undermine biking infastructure. I have 3 adult children who have purchased homes in the last 4 years. Only one of them owns a car, as they are looking for ways to say money. Lire davantage
