Keep conservation authorities local. Consolidating Ontario's conservation authorities from 36 down to 7 is delusional, even for the Ford government. We need to keep local expertise in tact for flood preventation and environmental management.

I don't understand how slow turn around times and uniform system between conservation authorities "undermine[s] conservation authorities’ ability to protect communities from floods and natural hazards." This is a key argument made but there is no real facts provided to support this.

Merging the Lakehead Regional CA with CAs thousands of kilometers away is ridiculous. If a staff person had to attend a meeting in person, they would need to first take a two-hour flight to Toronto, then travel more than an hour by land. With waiting time, it would take a day to make the trip.

I was a teacher for 30 years and saw how the amalgamation of school boards impacted the smaller communities. The smaller outlying communities were definitely forgotten with many programs only available to the students who lived in the larger centres!

I appose "Proposed boundaries for the regional consolidation of Ontario’s conservation authorities". I do not think this will improve Ontario's conservation of natural land.
I think this is an absolutely ridiculous proposition. I very adamantly do not support it. I understand the reasoning for this amalgamation but this is not the way to achieve faster housing builds.
