I think the conservation authority works just fine. The conservation of our natural areas is most important. The enjoyment of these areas is most important to our mental and physical health. Please don't cut the Conservation Authority services.

To assume that because the different conservation authorities have different rules/procedures is a barrier to construction approvals sidesteps the issue of whether these differences are because of the unique characteristics of the geographic area covered by the conservation authority. We should be strengthening the environmental regulations as this will lead to safer construction and long term growth. This amalgamation seeks to weaken and disrupt environmental oversight, and I disagree with it.
